CM Ktv night!

Tonight was kinda fun when I hanged out with my CM mates once again after such a long period of time. As usual, they were ever so ongoing positive working adults that tend to crap a lot. Realised a lot of new things by meeting them up. Sang ktv at Chinatown~ Nicey~! Had porridge as supper until 3am in the morning.. Damn tired...

To Pancake

today was damn happy to be able to go out wif u. Was happy tt 1st time i set alarm clock, could finish everything (our food mostly) before the alarm rang. & ya lo! YOU finished most of our food! WAH WAH... My gf is slowly becoming a FAT PIGGY! One moment I turn my head.. the other moment it's gone! (inside ur stomache alr..) Must cut down cut down! LoL

Alone in office

Wah today stayed at office until super late. Had to switch all the lights by myself.. Suddenly the phase "office有鬼" came inside my mind. Ya, it wouldn't be so scary if humans dun hv such creative imaginations. I was thinkin what shuld I do if... the printer suddenly starts printin on its own?? if... a shadow suddenly flashes by the far end of the office?? if... the telephones suddenly ring one after another?? Guess im jus too imaginative -_- Went to shut the lights off at the pantry but it was pitch black! Couldn't get out after that.. so I heck care & left it on ^_^ Rushed to the lift & was thinkin.. "what if 'somethin' follows me out of the office & into the lift?!?!" ahha, can prize my creativity liao lol. Lucki I got out of the eerie place asap, but... I later realised that I forgot to take some stuffs.. Had to go back! >.< Was it pure coincidence?? Or ..somethin else..? LoL. I jus flew back & flew off in super fast speed Haha. Wont wan to exp tis again.. scary

proposal at "爱情海"

Wah today my friend's proposal at the "爱情海" at Marina Square was very touching. Was so worried for him when he sang 陶哲's "爱很简单". His hands were shivering lo (he was too nervous). Luckily nth big went wrng though there were a few keys wrng sometime. He proposed on stage & said those words to his gf. "Please marry me." Haha, me & Clement was like "wasn't it suppose to be 'Will u marryme?'??" LoL. But clever sia - no question = no chance for a "no" LoL. & obviously, his gf agreed :) Congras~! Reli wish u happiness & all e best! Dun too fast hv grandchildren hor! Ahah~

love is beautiful

Jane & Mike were a loving couple.
But as fate had it, Jane was diagnosed with heart problems.
The doctor said she only had 1 month to live.
Jane was at her lowest point of her life when she really needed Mike.
However, Mike left her at this moment & went overseas.
He had left her when she most needed him.
Jane deeply regretted for loving someone who would choose to leave her
after knowing her condition, & she had given up on life.
However, miracleously, she survived her low success rate operation.
& she promised that she would live life to the fullest from then on.

Half a year later...
She was out with her friends on a shopping spree,
when one of her friends suddenly mentioned about Mike.
Already gotten over him, Jane just gave a smile,
when she suddenly noticed Mike's mom at a distance.
Thinking that it was fate to meet just when the topic came,
Jane approached Mike's mom to greet her.
Seeing Jane, Mike's mom smiled sadly...
Jane noticed it & tried to console her,
"It's ok Aunty, I've already gotten over it."
However, Mike's mom continued to be saddened & eventually cried..
Shocked, Jane took her shoulders, & slowly brought her to a nearby seat.
After hearing what Mike's mom had to say, Jane too, was brought to tears..
She could not control it but just kept crying & crying,
even her friends couldn't bear seeing her like that..

Half a year ago, Mike did left Jane.
But, he only left her because he had no other choice.
The only way to keep her away from sorrow,
was to hide the truth from her, because she would never have agreed to it..
Yes, Jane recovered because someone donated a heart to save her..
Someone non other than Mike...

Jane deeply regretted for not trusting her loved one until his very end,
which should have been her's.
He had bore her every worries, every sorrow,
in exchange for her hatred towards him, so that she could move on,
without living in regret that she had her life from his's.

True love is self-sacrifice, & is always ever so beautiful.
Truly ask yourself, if the day were to come,
would you give up your own life to save your loved one?
Or would you hesitate?

To put down

There were 2 monks - a young monk & an old man,
traveling through a forest.
Eventually they ran into a swallow river which
they had to wet their lower half of their bodies
to get across.

While they were preparing to cross,
a fair maiden in loose-fitting clothings came by
to cross the river as well.
Being a gentleman,
the old monk offered to carry her across so that
she would not wet herself.
After crossing the river,
he put her down & they continued on their journey.

3 days had passed but every night before his sleep,
the young monk would think of the old monk's act
with the maiden.
He thought:

"Isn't it against the rules to have bodily contact
with a woman, & especially someone so sexy?"

"Why did he do it?"

"Have he committed lust?"

These thoughts went on every night & drained the
young monk of his rest.
So at long last after 3 days,
he went to ask the old monk about the matter.
Suprisingly, the old monk replied something that
the young monk never expected.
Guess what did he say?

"3 days ago, I've already put her down, why haven't you?"

Coffee Bean Story

Live your life as a coffee bean would by Geoff Tan.

And there was this story that was told to him by a collegaue:

"It was about a young woman who went to her mother and told her how hard her life was and that she wasn't sure if she was going to make it through. She was tired of struggling and was on the verge of giving up.

Her mother took her to the kitchen,
filled three pots with water
and placed each on a high flame.

She then placed carrots into the first,
eggs into the second
and ground coffee beans in the third.

After twenty minutes of silence
and just watching the contents boil,
she turned off the burners.

She fished the carrots and eggs out and placed them into separate bowls.
She then ladled the coffee into a large mug.

The mother handed the first bowl to her daughter
and asked her to feel the carrots.
She did and noted they were soft.

The mother then asked her daughter to take an egg and break it.
She did and, after peeling off the shell,
handed her mother a hard-boiled egg.

Finally, the mother then asked her to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich flavour and then asked:
"What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects
had undergone the same "trial" -
being boiled in water.

Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard and relenting,
but came out softened and weak.

The fragile egg, with its liquid interior,
became hardened after the ordeal.

The ground coffee beans, however, were unique.
After they were steeped in the boiling water,
they started to change the consistency of the liquid.

She then went on to ask her daughter:
"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?
Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"

You may want to ponder these questions:
Am I the carrot that seems strong,
but who, with pain and affliction,
wilts, becomes soft and loses my strength?

Or am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart and a fluid spirit,
but after a death, break-up or a financial crisis,
becomes somewhat hardened?

Or am I like the coffee bean?
The bean that actually changes the boiling water,
the very circumstances that bring it pain.
It releases its fragrant aroma and flavour
within those adverse conditions.

If you are like the bean, then when things are at their worst,
you get better and change the situation around you.
When the hour is at its darkest,
you elevate yourself positively to a whole new level."

So to quote Geoff Tan, 'Go forth and live life like a coffee bean!'
